Afronerd.Com Returns with a Renewed Purpose and a Different Trajectory

We would like to welcome our ever patient and vigilant supporters back to a refreshed (and more importantly, reinspired) Afronerd.com!  The site essentially had to be repurposed to support a more corporatized and information based initiative.  Case in point, check out the latest Youtube clip, from technology reviewer/wunderkind, Mr. Marques Brownlee.  Brownlee holds the distinction of being ordained by former Google VP, Vic Gundotra as arguably "the best technology reviewer on the planet right now."  But in our estimation, Brownlee also represents the antithesis of the young Black dysfunctional male trope that unfortunately has been a mainstay in mainstream (and social) media for countless decades.  Despite our new window dressing, the goals of afronerdism remain the same-the dismantling of ghettocentric stereotypes, highlighting urban alternative culture and the continued promotion of Black excellence.  And we'll always rep for growing infiltration Blerds in the community space.  We will continue to disseminate the latest information as it pertains to politics, science, technology, sci-fi and all that encompasses nerd culture...but from a nuanced Black perspective. So enjoy the ride folks, there's a lot more to come.

But then, Hope is an inspiration, a beacon that shines brighter than any star lighting the way for all mankind, Hope is the refusal of the inevitable, a hand lifted to the clouds, Hope is what makes us humans, for when reality threatens to destroy us, we reach inward, and create Hope.  It's the greatest gift we can give each other, though it may just be the foundation to a house of cards-Lex Luthor
